The grade 5 math teachers have a room each day dedicated to solving rich tasks. Students have choice in the problem they want to solve and use their understandings gained from workshops to apply it to real-world problems. They collaborate with each other and get messy with math! The level of engagement of the students was awesome to see and hear!
