A grade 6 student is creating her own ecosystem
in class in order to learn about ecosystems in science class. She was curious if anything was living in her pond water and we took a slide and discovered this species “What is this micro-organism?”
This student chose to be curious about her roller blades. As she went through the science unit on ‘Cells’, she chose to use her knowledge gained from a cell to improve the comfort of her roller blades.
“Improving roller blades based on knowledge learned about a cell!”
This grade 6 student decided to use his knowledge gained from his ecosystem unit to design a way for factories to reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
